Puggle, a rescue dog from Massachusetts
How did you meet your canine companion?
Sadie is a rescue pup from Twenty Paws Rescue in Brooklyn, NY. On March 8th, 2015, Ryan and I had to put our cat down due to heart failure - she had been part of our family for many years and we knew that we needed an animal in our lives in order to feel complete. On March 9th, 2015, we found Sadie on a dog adoption app and sent in our application. On March 26th, 2015, Sadie was brought to our home for her first night as part of our family and she completed our family!
What’s the story behind your dog’s name?
Sadie was originally named Bonnie, but we knew we were going to change it. Sadie was a name we both agreed on and it fits our pup perfectly!
How has your life changed since you have had your dog?
Sadie has made Ryan and I smile, laugh and overall be happy. Our days revolve around spending time with Sadie and making sure that she is walked, fed and has her daily exercise.
Which 3 words best describe your dog’s personality?
Energetic, Sassy, Lovable
Who’s your dog’s favourite person?
Sadie loves Ryan when she wants to play, and loves me when she wants to cuddle and sleep! She needs both of us!
What’s your dog’s superpower?
She can leap tall buildings in a single bound (no but seriously, this girl can jump!)
If your dog had a job, what would it be?
Park Ranger - Sadie is happiest when she is at the park running around. She patrols the area for all of the balls and chases other dogs around.
What’s your dog’s most unappealing / most embarrassing habit?
Sadie likes to lick anyone at any time which is sometimes unappealing - especially after a shower or washing our face.
Where can we find you hanging out with your dog?
Ryan and I can be found hanging out with Sadie in bed, on the couch or anywhere comfortable. Sadie will most likely be under the covers at our feet!
