Job: Dog walker, taking courses to become a veterinary technician
An Australian cattle dog/ Finnish Spitz mix, she is rescued from a small town in California called Hisperia
How did you meet your canine companion?
I first met Miley at a parking lot Tim Horton’s where she was to be handed off to me from a rescue, for fostering. Specifically fostering to adopt. When I first saw her, she was much smaller then what the pictures looked like. She was fairly emiciated, and coat was coarse with Tuffs of hair.
What’s the story behind your dog’s name?
There isn’t any amazing story behind her name. She came to me with “Aurora” which is pretty, but didn’t suit her. I wrote down a list of names I liked and got her to sit infront of me while I called them out. To see which suited best.
How has your life changed since you have had your dog?
How HASN'T it changed? I’m outside everyday. Exploring new places and turf. Meeting like minded, and fantastic people and dogs. She helps me cope with my anxiety and depression. She makes me strive to be more outdoors, which is my Happy place, and with her it’s my happiest place.
Which 3 words best describe your dog’s personality?
Adventurous, stubborn, loyal
Who’s your dog’s favourite person?
Me, second is my mom
What’s your dog’s superpower?
Good question! Being Velcro? She’s always by my side. In the kitchen, going to the bathroom, going two steps away. She’s always. Right. There. Other than being outdoors she will wander a bit
If your dog had a job, what would it be?
Parks Ranger. She’s pretty independent, lives for the outdoors, no matter the season.although she does make a good model.
What’s your dog’s most unappealing / most embarrassing habit?
If she is awake, and knows your awake, she will stare at you and groan. And won’t stop till your up and walking out the door.
Where can we find you hanging out with your dog?
Outdoors! Always out hiking.
