Hi.

Welcome to my blog.
Meet my tribe of four-legged friends and their #dogbore humans, sharing stories that will make you laugh, cry and most importantly want to hug your dog.

The Business Developer Dog Bore

Dog Bore: Dag a life loving Swede living in London at the moment
Job: Business Developer for a Property Technology company
Dog: Nike
Female, white Japanese Akita - 3.5ish years, from Ireland, somewhere outside Dublin.

How did you meet your canine companion?
I didn't. I adopted/rescued her from a dog pound on Ireland through an organisation working with Irish rescue dogs. I saw a couple of pictures of Nike and I simply couldn't resist. I had to get her out of that dog pound and save her from being put to sleep. Nike and I met the first time after a long drive from Ireland to Stockholm with 20 other dogs. She was pretty stressed after the drive but at the same time she was crazy happy and overwhelmed.

What’s the story behind your dog’s name?
Me and my girlfriend lived in Stockholm and one day my girlfriend got an internship for Nike in Amsterdam for 1 year. I, of course, needed a substitute girlfriend so I decided to get a big white dog and name her Nike! Nike is also the goddess of victory.

How has your life changed since you have had your dog?
To the better of course. I get to talk to much more people, I get to be outside every single day no matter the weather, I can always use Nike as an excuse when I don't feel like going out (sorry Nike...) and I'm being unconditionally loved every day.

Which 3 words best describe your dog’s personality?
Independent, curious, protective

Who’s your dog’s favourite person?
duuuh? Me..

What’s your dog’s superpower?
The superpower of selective hearing!

If your dog had a job, what would it be?
Definitely a CEO for a large private company. She is a lady boss.

What’s your dog’s most unappealing / most embarrassing habit?
She will eat all garbage if you leave it out in the house when you are not at home. She can also be a little bit too alpha sometimes.

Where can we find you hanging out with your dog?
Kensington Gardens in London and at the local pubs of Notting Hill

Finish this sentence "a dog walks into a bar….”
....and walks to the kitchen door because she knows exactly where she'll get some bone marrow. Funny cause it's true."
