How did you meet your canine companion?
We were matched with him by Allsorts, an amazing rescue centre just outside Brighton.
What’s the story behind your dog’s name?
He was Seamus for about 10 minutes but it just didn't seem "him". We landed on Albie from the Latin for white rock, Albion.
How has your life changed since you have had your dog?
Immeasurably! He came to us at a really challenging time in our lives, having gone through 3 rounds of IVF and miscarriage. The wonderful thing about having him is no matter how sad you are he needs a walk first thing every morning. So you can't stay in bed and hibernate. Walking on the cliff tops with Albie everyday is the best therapy in the world. Although he's a rescue, it really feels like he came along just at the right time to rescue us. He's just an awesome soul and major dude.
Which 3 words best describe your dog’s personality?
Loving, kind, hilarious
Who’s your dog’s favourite person?
Simon, my husband. He's basically his shadow. It's quite a love story!
What’s your dog’s superpower?
His amazing ability to trust after having such an awful start in life and being so mistreated.
If your dog had a job, what would it be?
Publican, without a doubt. He LOVES the pub.
What’s your dog’s most unappealing / most embarrassing habit?
Excessive penis licking in company.
Where can we find you hanging out with your dog?
At the Fire Hills, in Hastings Country Park.
Finish this sentence "a dog walks into a bar….”
And all the punters know him by name. That's certainly the case with Albie.
